Thomas EASTERBROOK was married in 1841 in Clerkenwell Parish Church to Ann Sophia ELLIOT, Thomas was about 21 and Ann only about 16. They lived in Clerkenwell until the late 1840s, then to Salisbury Street, St Pancras until the early 1850s, after which they moved to 20 Charlotte Street, Charlton, Kent (the street no longer exists). Ten years' later they moved to 1 Osborn Terrace, Eltham (Lewisham). This area was to be the home for the family for the next 120 years as many of their descendants lived in the area, often within a few streets of Osborn Terrace. Both Osborn Terrace and Eagle Terrace were home to several generations.
Thomas's occupation was whitesmith. The trade was a family one at this time with most of Thomas's sons giving their occupation as whitesmith at at least some point during their life.

Thomas was a Tea Merchant and son of George and Sarah of Clerkenwell, grandson of John and Frances of Exeter.
The family moved to Edinburgh, Scotland in the mid 1860s. Thomas was back in London in 1881 with sons Sidney and Frank, and in 1891 as a widower with 4 of the children.
The younger children remained in London although in 1901 I can only find Frank, who was married, and Ronald who is not. The older children settled in Scotland.
Ronald died 12/Apr/1919 in the Thomas War Hospital, Bombay in the Great War. He is honoured on the Kirkee 1914-1918 Memorial
