New England USA
This is the area first populated by migrants from the Old World and consists of the states of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut & Rhode Island.
Many of the immigrant families relocated both within the New England states and to the South and the West as the American new world expanded. There was also some migration into the Canadian providence of New Brunswick, particuarly the St John River basin which is close to and crosses the border with the USA state of Maine, so there was considerable movement between New Brunswick and Maine. Albion moved from Wicklow, New Brunswick to the USA in the late 1870s, he married Lucy in Maine and moved to Minnesota where he was a worker in a saw mill. His children were born in Wisconsin, but Albion and his family had moved and settled in Aroostook, Maine by 1900 and he spent the rest of his life there.

The very earlist history of this family is very speculative and is taken mostly from the book Genealogy of the Anglo-Dutch Estabrooks family of St John River N.B.. This gives the origins as possible a Dutch family Estenbrugge and 3 brothers from Enfield, Middlesex Co, England, who came to Swansea and Concord, Mass. where the name Thomas occurs several times. The genealogical line is unclear until Joseph senior. The family at this time were mainly ministers.
Elijah ESTABROOKS (junior) was born in Rhode Island and married at Haverhill, Massachusetts. In about 1763 he moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia. His children were brought up and lived in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. Many later descendants can be found in New Brunswick and just over the border in Maine. This generation is documented in the book Genealogy of the Estabrook Family, including the Esterbrook and Easterbrooks, in the United States. which names Elijah as first generation.
